Scamp III resides with the Fanning family on Stoney Lake. She was refurbished a number of years ago, giving her a fibreglass bottom which, at the time, served its purpose. Now, after regular use, Scamp III is ready for a complete restoration which will involve returning her bottom to a traditional double plank bottom. The fibreglass job had preserved the boat's bottom to perfection, however the workmanship was very poor, and had been brought up lower sides of the the hull much further than necessary. Scamp III will be ready to hit the sunny shores of Stoney in the Spring of 2009.
